Grant Programs

FOCUSED

We’re advancing our commitment to our home state, with nearly 90% of all philanthropic dollars staying right here in Oregon.

FASTER

We’re eliminating our waitlist and abbreviating our application and evaluation windows to issue faster funding decisions.

COMMITTED

We’re deepening relationships, replacing duplicative application prompts with personalized correspondence and meetings.

Our Capital and Washington funds open March 31!

Programs At a Glance

We offer several distinct grant programs tailored for eligible organizations. While our grants primarily support general operations, we also fund initiatives such as programs, capital campaigns, matching challenges, and more.

Beginning in 2025, eligibility for most of our grant programs will be limited to organizations headquartered in and serving communities within Oregon. Nonprofits based in Washington are encouraged to explore funding opportunities through our Washington Impact Fund.

2025 PROGRAM SCHEDULE

PRIMARY

PROGRAMS

Our Primary programs are those from which most of our philanthropy occurs. Each program is unique and designed to move general operating dollars to Oregon nonprofits. The Sunflower Grant opens three times annually, whereas the Rose & Daffodil Grants open twice annually and share a preliminary application (LOI). Organizations cannot pursue more than one Primary program nor can they pursue a Primary program while engaged in another grant.

SECONDARY

PROGRAMS

Our Secondary programs are programs that are managed outside of our traditional processes, and all leverage a self-nomination in lieu of a full application. The scope of these program budgets is determined after our Primary program objectives are set, so they may vary from year-to-year. Assuming they are eligible to do so, organizations can pursue a Secondary program at any time — no matter their participation in another grant program.
